The first steps

Newcomer · Level 1

4-week course · € 90, as a couple € 160

Here you enter the world of Argentine tango for the first time. You learn the foundations: posture, walking, the connection within the couple and a first feeling for the music.

Level 1 lays the ground for your whole tango path. As a newcomer you ideally attend this level several times to build confidence in the basics. Many also dance Level 1 alongside Level 2 to consolidate their foundations.

Alternatively a two-hour newcomer workshop — after that you can join Level 2 directly.

Understanding and deepening

Newcomer · Level 2

Open class & themed workshop

This is where tango begins to open up as a living structure. You get to know the essential systems of tango, discover ochos and first giros, and develop a deeper understanding of how movement grows out of movement.

With growing clarity, first improvisations emerge — and with them more freedom, confidence and musicality.

Improvisation, connection and expression

Intermediate · Level 3–4

Themed workshop

The steps now connect more freely, movements become more organic, improvisation more natural.

You deepen giros, ochos and sacadas and develop a finer sense of leading, following and musical expression. Technique, connection and musicality are refined until even simple movements gain depth, precision and elegance.

Advanced · Level 5

Open class

Reduction to the essential. Depth, elegance, presence.

Tango as a language, not as a figure.

Open class

Open class for all levels and styles. Opening the body, creating connections, learning to understand chains of movement.

We recommend combining individual technique classes with the partner classes — that way you cover both sides of tango.
